Utah State’s men’s basketball team beat Boise State 82 to 78 last night to give coach Stew Morrill his 226th win with the Aggies. He passed E. Lowell Romney (1920-1941) to move into first place on the school’s list of wins as a coach.
Also of note, senior guard Jaycee Carroll scored 29 points during the game to move within two points of the all time scoring leader at Utah State. His next chance to break the record comes at home Saturday against Idaho.
Utah State is 13-5 overall and 3-0 in Western Athletic Conference play.
